Mass Communication Week is a four-day conference held each year in the School of Journalism and Mass Communication at Texas State University. It’s your chance to look to the future and hear professionals discuss issues, trends and careers in mass media. In 2017, we had more than 35 events with 35+ speakers representing the fields of advertising, digital and electronic media, journalism, and public relations. Students participate by covering events, using social media and interacting with guests.
The news stories at this site represent the work of a journalism class project, with stories written by journalism students at Texas State University. Our goal is to cover Mass Communication Week on deadline. We’ll post stories, photos and videos. Post your comments to let us know how we are doing or send an email to professor Holly Wise, whose students are producing the content.
