Bobcats with Great Internships

On October 27, students can come to ASBS 315 and hear from five Texas State students about their internship experience. The panel will feature Lisa Carter, Anisia Morales, Leigh Morgan, Jessie Spielvogel, and Aimee Viallalobos.

Morgan (right), journalism senior, will share information about her internship with Texas Monthly. Her position was in the Custom Publishing department.

“I had the opportunity to work on things that made it to print and hands-on experience just can’t be taught at this scale in the classroom,” Morgan said.

Morgan also plans to inform students about the importance of a resume and preparation before an interview.

Spielvogel (left), journalism senior, interned with Discovery Communications in Silver Spring, MD. She plans to talk about the advice she was given during her time in D.C. and what she learned through personal experience.
