Mass Comm Week is all about media, and we like you to be able to use the current tools that will be discussed in sessions during the event. Twitter and Facebook – up to and during Mass Comm Week, use the hashtag #mcweek in tweets. Those tweets will show up in our Twitter widget in the sidebar at www.txstatemcweek.com. If you take photos during Mass Comm Week and tweet them, you may be a winner! You must tweet your photos with the #mcweek hashtag to be eligible to win. Follow @txstatemcweek to stay in touch with all the information about the event. You can also visit our Facebook page http://www.facebook.com/txstatemcweek and make comments and upload photos. We will select winners amongst those as well. Let us know how you think the event is going.
Gowalla – This year, Mass Comm Week will have it’s own spot. Check in to win. The new Gowalla 4 allows users to create stories and include friends. So, download the Gowalla app on your smartphone, find the Mass Comm Week spot, say I’m Here and add any friends, and then start or join a story by posting comments and photos. Andrew Waldrup of Gowalla will be speaking on the panel Communication Careers at Tech Companies in Austin on Wed. Oct 19, so be sure to attend that session to learn more about his career and company.
