Jim Bob Breazeale is the Senior Director of Local Media Content for The E.W. Scripps Company’s five properties in Corpus Christi, TX. He oversees strategic direction for news, digital and OTT content for KRIS (NBC), KZTV (CBS) and KAJA (Telemundo). He also directs content for CW South Texas and independent station KDF-TV. 

Jim Bob has spent that last 16 years working in local media, with 11 of those years at TV stations in San Antonio, Austin, the Rio Grande Valley and now the Coastal Bend. Prior to Corpus Christi, Jim Bob was the Assistant New Director at KVEO and KGBT in the Valley, where he led the newsroom’s coverage of immigration and the pandemic’s effect on border communities. His stations covered a presidential visit, multiple visits by congressional delegations, and won a regional Edward R. Murrow award for digital coverage on ValleyCentral.com. At KEYE, he helped lead the station’s coverage of the Austin Bomber, including multiple days of wall-to-wall coverage that sometimes lasted more than 10 hours. 

Jim Bob got his start in TV as an associate producer and assignment editor at KABB in San Antonio, eventually working his way up to morning producer, where he was nominated for a Lone Star Regional Emmy for Outstanding Morning Newscast. 

Prior to working in TV, Jim Bob spent six years at a producer for Clear Channel Radio in San Antonio.
