About Laura

Laura Figi is the city editor for ATX Today, a digital publication in Austin. Figi is a graduate of the School of Journalism and Mass Communication at Texas State University, where she double majored in journalism and French before graduating in 2020. During her time at Texas State, Figi worked for the University Star and was twice honored for her work by the Texas Intercollegiate Press Association. Since graduation, Figi has written almost 1,000 articles between her first job at Austonia News and her current position at ATX Today.
