Entertainment Reporting: The Hard News Path to People Magazine

People magazine reporter Elaine Aradillas spoke to students about two different sides of running a celebrity magazine. She told students that although People is a celebrity magazine, there is far more than the flashy and glamour side of the magazine. The magazine contains human interest articles on politics, military and crime that readers relate to, she said.
Aradillas says in order to pursue and achieve your dream job, learning in school and taking chances are important.
“Test yourself and try to figure out that you can do this,” says Aradillas. “Do all you can while still in school.”
